Polly Jean Harvey (PJ Harvey), born on October 9, 1969 in Bridport, Dorset, United Kingdom. Is an English writer, singer-songwriter, poet and composer. Harvey is the 2nd child of Ray Harvey (father) and Eva Harvey (mother). She grew up on the family's farm in Corscombe. At the young age of 19 Harvey joind ""Automatic Dlamini"" band from Bristol with whom she gained extensive ensemble-playing experience. 1991 was the year PJ formed her own band with Ellis and Oliver (former bandmates). Harvey collaborated with a number of other famous artists such as: Nick Cave, Bob Dylan and even sang the theme song on Philip Ridley's film ""The Passion of Darkly Noon"". Her versatile music Genre and the passion for ""not repeating myself"", as she said to the Rolling Stone in 2004, set her a part from the conventional artists of today. Harvey released 8 studio albums, 2 collaboration albums, 3 compilation albums and got nominated a staggering, 25 times winning 6 different awards.
