Christopher John Boyle AKA Chris Cornell born on July 20, 1964 in Seattle, WA, United States, (parents: Ed Boyle and Karen Cornell) is a guitarist, rock musician and American singer/songwriter. He's known for his work in the bands: "Soundgarden", "Audioslave" and "Temple of the Dog". Cornell released 4 solo studio albums: "Euphoria Morning", "Carry On", "Scream" and "Higher Truth". Cornell's songwriting often features interesting chord progressions for example, "Black Hole Sun" involves many kinds of open chords and several key changes in short sequences and also includes melody phrases with large interval jumps. Chris has a multi-octave vocal range and style that has been described as gritty and soulful.
