Queen were an English rock band formed in london in 1970. Originally consisting of four members: Farrokh "Freddie" Bulsara AKA Freddie Mercury (lead vocals, piano), Roger Taylor (drummer), Brian May (guitar and backing vocals), John Deacon (bass guitarist). Queen began their 80's 1st album "The game" (Another One Bites the Dust, Crazy Little Thing Called Love). The album soon reached NO.1 in the U.S. Queen drew inspiration out of many different genres of music and the most associated with were Progressive Rock, Pop Rock, Hard Rock and Psychedelic Rock. As of 2005, Queen's albums have spent a total of 1322 weeks (26 years) on the UK album charts (according to the "Guinness Book of World Records") more time than any other musical act. In total, Queen sold just over 150 million records, with some estimates in excess of 300 million records.
