Look What We Found: Lyrics by Metallica, Music by U2, Performance by Chris Cornell. Put Them All Together and You Have 'One'. Do Not Miss This Wonderful Version

Leave it to Chris Cornell to get very creative with the music he loves. A few months ago he created a fantastic version for Sinead O'connor’s ‘Nothing Compares To U’. A few weeks later he brought his 11 year daughter on stage to play Bob Marley’s ‘Redemption Song’ Together. Now, In a video that surfaced from a show held two years ago, we once again witness his great talent.

The show was held at the Santander Performing Arts Center In Reading Pennsylvania, Cornell started playing the familiar chords for U2’s classic, ‘One’. He then turned to the audience, mentioning that while he was playing the song at home, he googled the lyrics.

But the first ‘One’ lyrics coming up were not the ones by U2, but by ‘Metallica’ which also has a classic with that same title. “So fuck it, I’ll just do it this way”, he said and then mixed the lyrics and music together. The result is fantastic.
