For the past 11 years around Christmas time, Mariah Carey has been dominating the Billboard charts with her 1994 hit, ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’. But now, there is finally Christmas song that is more popular than Carey’s modern classic. And that song belongs to Paul McCartney.
In 2012, ‘The Shins’ wonderfully covered McCartney’s ‘Wonderful Christmastime’, Included in a special Xmas compilation called ‘Holidays Rule’. This week, ‘The Shins’ won over Mariah Carey, which stands on No.2 on the chart. The song was originally released by Sir Paul at the winter of 1979.
These new numbers were published by ‘PlayNetwork’, The company responsible for music playing in stores and shopping malls. Coming in on No.3 on PlayNetwork’s list is ‘Christmas Time’ by Christina Aguilera, ‘Christmas Wrapping’ by ‘Waitresses’ stands in No.4 and Jack Johnson closes the Top 5 with ‘Someday At Christmas’.
