Ornette Coleman, Saxophonist, composer and one of the great minds of Jazz music, died today (June 11). He was 85 years old. According to the New York Times “Coleman this Thursday morning in Manhattan. The cause was cardiac arrest, a representative of the family said”.
Born in 1930, Coleman was one of the major innovators of the 1960’s free jazz movement in America and one of the most notable figures in jazz history. These last years, Coleman did not stop touring and would keep on performing regularly around the world. As of Today, we are left with his music forever. Goodbye Mr. Coleman, Thank you for everything.
