Happy Women’s Day: Remembering Tracy Bonham’s ‘Mother Mother’ – One Of 90’s Most Rocking Songs

In march 1996, exactly 19 years ago, Singer-Songwriter Tracy Bonham released her debut album ‘The Burdens Of Being Upright’. Today on International Women’s Day we decided to spotlight one of the greatest songs from that album, and of that entire time period all together.

Although Bonham didn’t reach popularity like fellow artists Alanis Morissette or Sheryl Crow, she was very talented, and still is, as her fifth album, ‘Wax & Gold’ was released two months ago. ‘Mother Mother’, the opening track form Bonham’s first album, used to play endless times back in the MTV days. Today will be the perfect time to remember this great song and now you can rock out with its chords and lyrics in perfect sync. Remember: Women shouldn’t claim for equality, but for much more than that. In the words of Timothy Leary: ‘Women who seek to be equal with men lack ambition’. Happy Women’s Day.
