The Red Hot Chili Peppers take another dramatic step in their support for Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders. The lovable band will headline the ‘Feel the Burn’ benefit concert in their hometown of Los Angeles, playing Feb 5th at the Ace Hotel theatre.
The band posted the even on their Instagram profile: “Join seven-time Grammy Award-winning California rock legends the Red Hot Chili Peppers on February 5th for a special performance in support of Bernie Sanders' historic campaign for president”, says the ad, “Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame inductees Anthony Kiedis, Flea, Chad Smith and Josh Klinghoffer are Feeling the Bern and invite you to a people-powered LA performance with special guests”.
On his personal Instagram profile, Bass player Flea added: “So excited to be playing this concert for Bernie sanders next week. Feels great to support someone I believe in. The RHCP offered to give him the money to pay for the theatre that night but he wouldn't accept, he only accepts small donations from individuals. Every other politician greedily grabs every cent they can get from any scumbag lobbyist. This is a man with integrity. If you can please buy the expensive seats to help out the campaign. Thank you so much. Bernie sanders for president”.
