2014’s Greatest Moments: Watch and Play with the Chords & Lyrics In Sync with the Music

Die Antwoord’s Ugly Boy

This just might be granted with the title “Video Of The Year”. Although we have seen a lot of madness coming from the crazy South African duo – “Ugly Boy” really made it over the top. With disturbing yet incredible guest performances by Flea, Aphex Twin, Jack Black, Marilyn Manson & Dita Von Teese – “Die Antwoord” are way on top.

Beyonce’s 7/11

Over the years queen Beyonce had much much better songs, but the surprising music video for 7/11 really hit the spot. Filmed in lo-fi technology, showing a sneak peak of the singer’s private hotel rooms, posing selfies while dancing with her fellow stage dancers. Classic.

Bruno Mars’ Uptown Funk

We can probably say for sure: Bruno Mars is the new Michael Jackson. Although he’s been around for years now, we have never seen Mars with such skills and charisma like in this song and video. Together with maestro Mark Ronson, he is absolutely killing it. Say his name, you know who he is.

Nicki Minaj’s Anaconda

Remember the entire Kim Kardashian fiasco? Was she successful in “Breaking The Internet” with publishing her fully nude photos? Well, for a couple of days everybody online was posting and tweeting about it. But what was all the fuss about? Did we forget Nicki Minaj’s “Anaconda”? Here is a reminder.

Taylor Swift’s Everything

It’s safe to say, this was Taylor Swift’s best year ever. She was constantly in the headlines. Releasing “1989” – her first crossover pop album, taking her entire catalog off Spotify, creating a huge online drama and premiering music videos like “Shake It Off” and “Blank Space”. Love her or not – Swift is a very busy working girl. Big cheers for her.

Sia’s Chandelier

On May 2nd, 2014, Sia premiered her music video for “Chandelier”, one of the best songs out this year. The video features a very young dancer named Maddie Ziegler with a blonde Sia wig, dancing incredibly in a deserted apartment. This great video was just what the song needed to get even bigger.

The Foo Fighters Sonic Highways

Boy, Dave Grohl really took it to the top this year, didn’t he? With an entire new Foo Fighters album that features songs that were recorded in 8 different cities in the USA, all filmed and documented for Grohl’s HBO series. Including one filmed interview with Mr. Barack Obama.  See what he did there? This was the way to bring Rock to its fullest in 2014.
