Punk Band With Down Syndrome Will Represent Finland In The Eurovision

Finnish punk band Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät, whose members all have Down syndrome, will represent Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2015 after winning the national finals in their home country.

The band will compete in the Eurovision with their song “Aina mun pitää” – now you can sing and play along with the chords and lyrics in sync:

Pertti Kurikan Nimipäivät became well-known in Finland for being the main focus of the 2012 documentary The Punk Syndrome. The film shows the band members using punk music as an outlet to their frustration with everyday issues. Now they are heading for one of the world’s biggest musical events, hoping to raise awareness for Down syndrome and autism.
