It’s been a hell of a ride for the boys in Motley Crue. Although the band said farewell with 3 fantastic shows at LA’s Staples Center on the last days of 2015 - the ride is not over yet.
Right after the band’s final tour, the four members continue to work hard on their endless quest to conquer the world. The most exciting news coming from the Crue is the production of the band’s biopic - ‘The Dirt’. The movie, based on their crazy autobiography, will reach theatres next year.
According to singer, Vince Neil, in the Las Vegas Magazine: “Making music and making movies is two different things. We’re involved in it, but, we just got a new script about three or four months ago, the rewrite of the old script, and it’s way, way better. It’s such a great script. This movie should be out in the summer of 2016. It does stay pretty close to The Dirt, so if you’ve read The Dirt, it’s really something to look forward to.”
Besides the movie production, Neil keeps busy all the time. According to TMZ, The singer signed up for a new season of the reality TV show, ‘Celebrity Apprentice’, this time hosted by Arnold Schwarzenegger instead of Donald Trump. The show will air on NBC, September 2016.
But what takes up most of Neil’s time is the work on his new solo album. "I'll say that we're recording some stuff for a new record this year," He Told The Michigan City News-Dispatch. “Some of the things we are working on will be in that same vein. The music is exciting. It's good, fun, nasty, raw energy and good songs. That's what is so important — good, fun songs. I mean, who wouldn't want to go out and not have a good time? Not me. So I'm thankful to be playing everywhere I am."
And what about Nikki Sixx? You got to hand it to this master mind of a bassist rocking non stop. Sixx keeps touring the world with his band, ‘Sixx:A.M.’. They will hit the US in April, playing lots of festivals in Europe by June and then Canada in July. You can follow all dates and details on the band’s website. In between, Sixx still finds the time to host his great radio show, ’Sixx Sense’, together with co-host Jenn. You can listen to the show on iHeartRadio.
Mick Mars also keeps playing music. The guitarist is busy in the studio with former Motley Crue singer, John Corabi. “What a great great time I'm havin creating new, fresh, greasy LOUD ASS, slamming music”, wrote Mars on his Facebook page, posting a picture of Corabi and him working together.
And Tommy? Mr. Tommy Lee is having the time of his life, as always. Following up on his Twitter and Instagram profiles, the drummer is having fun working on his electronic music, traveling the world and getting ready for the Superbowl. Life has never been better.
