Sad news today (11/11/2016). “It is with profound sorrow we report that legendary poet, songwriter and artist, Leonard Cohen has passed away. Cohen was a Canadian poet, novelist and musician. His musical career has largely overshadowed his prior work as a poet and novelist, although he continued to publish poetry sporadically after his breakthrough in the music industry.

In 1967, disappointed with his lack of financial success as a writer, Cohen moved to the United States to pursue a career as a folk music singer-songwriter.

On the biography section on Cohen’s Facebook page, His famous song, ‘Hallelujah’ was quoted today.

I did my best

it wasn't much

I couldn't feel

so I learned to touch

I've told the truth

I didn't come to fool you

And even though

it all went wrong

I'll stand before

the Lord of Song

with nothing on my tongue

but Hallelujah.”
